Today the guys who weren't traveling to the meet went to Kiwanis Park for intervals. We warmed up about 2.25 miles to the park and around. My goal for the workout was to be near the front of the group. We did 1600, 1200, 800, 800, 400.

The mile started out pretty fast. I started out near the middle of the pack and slowly moved up. I finished third behind Spencer and Brandon. The crazy thing is that I did a 4:48 for the mile! Spencer was at 4:45.

I started out the 1200 about the same. After 800 meters, I passed George and pushed it into third place again. I ended up about two seconds behind Spencer and Brandon at 3:37.

The first 800 was uphill. I started out near the back of the pack for the first 400, but moved up after that. At about six hundred in I passed George and Trevor. After that, I sprinted to the finish and almost caught Brandon. I finished at 2:21.

On the second 800, we started out a lot faster. I was at about 67-68 at the 400, and I moved up a little bit after that. I finished at about 2:16, but the leaders were at 2:10.

On the 400, I started out fast, right behind Spencer. I just tried to hang on, and ended up at 68. Trevor and Brandon passed me, but I stayed right behind Spencer. It was mostly uphill.

I felt pretty tired afterward, but it was a good workout. We cooled down about 2 miles to the school.
